Step 1: Sketch the Outline

Start by rough sketching the outline of the man and the boat using a pencil on the canvas or drawing paper. You can use a reference image to help you with this step.

Step 2: Add Black & White Oil Pastel

First using grey oil pastel & white oil pastel to fill the hole drawing for deeper and lighter shade, when its complete. Use the black oil pastel to create depth and shadows in the water around the boat as well.

Step 3: Blend the Oil Pastels

Using your fingers or tissue paper for blend the black and white oil pastels together. This will create a smooth transition between the light and dark areas in this drawing.

Step 4: Add Black Acrylic Paint
