Step 1: Sketch the Outline

Begin by sketching the outline of the sun, trees using a light 2h pencil. Start with the sun, drawing a large circle in the centre of the paper. Next, sketch the trees on either side of the sun, making sure to vary the shapes and sizes of the trees.

Step 2: Colour the Sky

Using a yellow oil pastel, colour the area around the sun to create a warm & glowing effect. Then using a light orange oil pastel, blend the yellow into the surrounding area to create a gradient effect. Finally use a dark orange or red oil pastel to create a sunset like effect at the top of the sky.

Step 3: Add the Sun

Using a light yellow oil pastel colour the sun, then blend the yellow into the surrounding area using an white oil pastel leaving a small white circle in the corner to represent the sun’s brightness. Finally add a yellowish orange oil pastel around the sun and blend with tissue paper.

Step 4: Add the Trees

Using a black acrylic colour to draw the branches of trees and with the help of fan brush add some leaf’s in the trees, at last draw some birds to create beautiful sunset drawing.

Step 5: Final Touches

Finally add any final touches to the drawing, such as highlights on the trees or adding some shading in the sky by using blending tool or tissue paper to blend the colours together and create a more realistic look.
